One of the best ways to add some flair to an otherwise standard tungsten carbide ring is to put in an additional precious metal. While gold typically provides some kind of a contrast due to the wildly different color, this isn’t always a desirable thing. Gold inlays sometimes detract from the overall look and feel of the tungsten ring if they aren’t done properly, which is why the buyer must especially beware when choosing one. However, this issue is completely avoided by going for a white gold inlay. The product being reviewed this week is one such tungsten ring which is currently available over at Amazon.
This beauty of a ring has a real classy look. The broad band which runs through the center is a bit lighter than the darker tungsten hues, which adds a kind of subtelty to the ring. This adds to the elegance normally provided by a tungsten ring in the first place, resulting in an absolutely fantastic overall piece. The white gold used in this particular model is a 14k alloy, meaning that it’s not too soft. You still need to be a bit careful, though. As with any inlay ring, the other metal is definitely softer and more susceptible to scratches than the tungsten metal. With a little care, though, this isn’t an issue. Overall, I give a definitive thumbs up to this particular inlay tungsten ring for its grace and its charm. If only all inlays could do as well as this one!
